“Periodically, our Safety & Security team here at CrossWinds, practices an evacuation drill during the course of a Sunday service. Never knowing what may generate the requirement to actually empty the church for an emergency, we wish to make sure that all in attendance understand how to safely clear the facility.
On Sunday, October 19th, we will conduct an emergency evacuation drill. This will take place during the course of the morning worship service. You will be required to exit the facility and make your way to the northernmost or the westernmost portion of the parking lot, dependent upon your location at the time of the alarms.
Parents, our skilled childcare workers will make sure to manage the safety of your children. Although tempting, we ask you not to move toward them but follow the direction of the ushers and security staff for a seamless and coordinated drill.
Also, there may be some in the congregation that have mobility issues. We will have wheelchairs, walkers, and the willingness to help, should there be that need.
Understanding that this is indeed an inconvenience, we are grateful for your willingness to work with us in promoting and maintaining a safe and secure ministry environment. Thank you.”
